To support access to laptops during the exam period, library laptop loans will be reduced to a one-day loan period from Friday 30 October to Tuesday 1 December.
This temporary change means more laptops will be available to support students sitting exams. During this time, all loans will be for 24 hours only. So, if you borrow a laptop at 8 am on Monday, it'll need to be returned by 8 am on Tuesday at the latest.
Throughout November, please return laptops as soon as you have finished using them so that they are available to other students. If you do not need the laptop for the full 24-hour loan period, we encourage you to return it earlier. A quick return can make a real difference during the busy exam period and help ensure other students can access a laptop when they need one.
There may be limited availability for laptop loans from Monday 26 October to Friday 6 November while we ensure all laptops are updated, prepared and running effectively ahead of exams.
Library laptops are intended for emergency situations, such as when your own laptop is broken, lost or forgotten. Laptops are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved or placed on hold for a particular time or day.
