Don't miss Escaped Wonders, ACU Library's exhibition of sculptures on display in Melbourne from 31 July to 22 August 2025.
Sydney artist Rachel Anne Buch has created a series of whimsical ceramic creatures influenced by her research as an ACU Historical Children's Book Collections Fellowship scholar. Drawing on the Nolan and Culican Collections' historical insights into reading and childhood, Rachel's sculptures encourage us to embrace our own childlike curiosity by exploring the hidden worlds of objects, animals and nature.
Be sure to pause and enjoy these critters (and the collections that inspired their creation) next time you're in the Melbourne library.
Keen to hear more? Come along to the artist talk in the library on Thursday 21 August at 2:30 pm. No RSVP needed but please register your interest by emailing fiona.gibson@acu.edu.au.
