News 1 JulyACU Library proudly unveils the ACU Library Digital Collections, a vibrant online portal showcasing items from our curated collections, now accessible to all.
Do you love the ease of searching the web, but value the quality and reliability of the library’s licensed information? Now you can have both.
Our new Lean Library and Libkey Nomad browser extensions deliver full text content to you, regardless of what site you are on, and without the need to go through Library Search. It is just like having a librarian over your shoulder!
Like to start your search with Google scholar? JSTOR? PubMed? No problem, library resources can now be delivered right into your research workflow.
These extensions will automatically detect if content you are viewing on any website (for example, ebooks or journal articles) is included in ACU library subscribed resources. It will also check for open access versions. Then – it automagically gives you access.
These extensions reduce the frustration of hitting paywalls (getting asked to pay for access to articles and books) and provide the convenience of immediate access from the webpage you are currently viewing.
After installation, Lean Library displays a pop-up message at the top right of your screen when content is available.
After installation, LibKey Nomad displays a clearly identifiable icon at the bottom left of your screen when content is available.
In a matter of minutes, you can unlock instant and legal access to academic content by installing one or both extensions today. Even better, they are free to you (paid for by ACU Library).
