The library's Research Essentials classes are back for semester 2 and open for registrations.
These free online workshops are tailored to the needs of HDR students and early career researchers, and they're a great way to connect with the library's experts.

Research Essentials: Understanding Scholarly Metrics
Join us for an introduction to citation metrics, suitable for researchers in citation disciplines. This hands-on session uses a workbook to step you through obtaining author, article-level, and journal metrics from Scopus, such as:
Research Essentials: Copyright for HDR Students
As you move from undergraduate study into higher degree research, copyright takes on a new significance and its impact on your work changes. This session will strengthen your understanding of what copyright is and how it is applied, how it affects the gathering and use of resources for your research, and the key considerations involved in sharing your thesis or other research outputs. We will look at third-party works, fair dealing, copyright management plans, obtaining permission, open access, and Research Bank. We'll also cover important copyright issues to keep in mind when using AI tools in your research.
