For Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, Australia’s colonial history is characterised by devastating land dispossession, violence, and racism.

Reconciliation is about strengthening relationships, respect, and trust, between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples, for the benefit of all Australians.

ACU Art Collection

Through the ACU Art Collection, we celebrate Indigenous visual heritage and recognise the unique culture and lived experience of our First Peoples, highlighting our commitment to reconciliation and healing.

Gum leaf message
