NAIDOC Week 3 to 10 July 2022
During NAIDOC week we celebrate and recognise the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC Week is an opportunity to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.
The 2022 theme is Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up! to support and secure institutional, structural, collaborative, and cooperative reforms across Australia. Whether it’s seeking environmental, cultural and heritage protections, Constitutional change, a comprehensive process of truth-telling, working towards treaties, or calling out racism — we must do it together.
ACU Library is one of the first academic libraries to identify resources that support Indigenous knowledge and perspectives to support learning, teaching and research.
Our First Peoples’ Knowledges Collection contains resources from all ACU subject areas including children’s picture books, videos and ebooks. Each title is evaluated to ensure it is appropriate for embedding into the ACU curriculum.
ACU Library also offers a curated range of recreational resources to browse online via Kanopy and BorrowBox.
For a comprehensive list of academic resources, try the First Peoples’ knowledges Library Guide.
