Anzac Day remembrance: Echoes of Gallipoli

Using digital tools and AI to create an immersive online display, ACU Library has developed a small exhibit that honours remembrance through preserved words and enduring voices.

The library is privileged to hold a small number of rare prayer books distributed to soldiers during the First World War. Carried into training and active service, these modest volumes offered comfort, reflection and guidance during times of uncertainty.

Echoes of Gallipoli focuses on one of these prayer books, as well as an article titled A Voice from Gallipoli: The Soldier Speaks, published in The Children's Newspaper in1932.

Presented for Anzac Day 2026, the Echoes of Gallipoli exhibition explores the enduring faith, memory and voice of the Anzacs, offering us a space to reflect and remember.

Lest we forget.
