ARTSTOR moving to JSTOR

Act before 1 February 2024 to ensure your personal image groups are transferred.

The Artstor website will be retired on August 1, 2024. All Artstor users’ image groups will be copied to the JSTOR workspace in February 2024.

Visit the Your Artstor Image groups on JSTOR for more information on preparing for the move.

Before February 1 you need to:

  • Create and/or finalize your image groups on Artstor. Image groups created or changed after February 1 may NOT be transferred. You can copy them across yourself using the copy tool until August 1.
  • Follow these steps to make sure personal collections are copied along with image groups:
  1. Log in to Artstor.
  2. Open the ‘Browse’ drop-down menu and select ‘Personal collections’.
  3. Open the ‘Organize’ droop-down menu and select ‘Select all on page’ to select all images on the page.
  4. Select ‘Save selections to a new group’ and choose a name for your new image group.

Note, you can display up to 72 items per page. If you have more than this in your personal collection, repeat these steps for each page.

If you don’t complete this process before image groups are copied in February, you can still follow the steps above and use the copy tool to transfer personal content to JSTOR until 1 August 2024.
