October 24-30 is Open Access Week, a celebration of open access resources.
But isn’t all information open and freely available to access?
No. At university, libraries pay for your access to research. Open access resources however are free during your studies, and beyond.
The 2022 theme, ‘Open for Climate Justice’, seeks to encourage collaboration between the research community and the climate movement. Sharing knowledge is a human right, open access can bridge barriers to information for disadvantaged communities.
