ACU is upgrading the Strathfield Library (Building 602) and nearby teaching space (Building 601) to create modern study, collaboration and learning spaces while keeping the library open throughout construction.

The refurbishment will be completed in stages, with one level or zone temporarily closed at a time before reopening for use. At least two levels or library zones will remain available throughout the project, and students and staff are encouraged to use the operational levels while works are taking place in the affected area.

We'll be posting across ACU's communications channels regularly to keep you informed, and this page will keep all the updates in one place.

Contact the Strathfield Library with any questions or concerns.

  • Level 2 temporarily closed.
  • Levels 1 and Ground Floor are open as usual.
  • Access through the main entrance.
  • Lift and stair access remain available.
  • Some construction noise during working hours.
  • Limited bookable rooms available on Level 1.
  • Reduced study spaces – Room 600.1.40 (above the canteen) is available as additional study space.

Our physical collections will be limited throughout the renovation, but during Stage 1 you can find some of our most-borrowed texts on the library’s ground floor.

Intercampus loans may be available if the book you need isn’t at Strathfield. See our information on how to request an item or scanned copy.
