A great starting point for resources related to your assessments are found in your unit outline, Canvas and reading lists.
Your required or recommended textbooks and readings can be found in your unit's Canvas page. They may be under menu links:
The information listed about each resource is called a 'reference' or 'citation'.
Knowing the difference between reference types makes it easier to find them using Library search.
Book references include the author(s) or editor(s), book title, publisher and year of publication:
Carlson, B. (2016). The politics of identity. Aboriginal Studies Press.
An ebook reference contains a doi (digital object identifier) or URL instead of publication details. Examples of referencing styles can be found in the Library’s referencing guide.
A book chapter reference includes additional details including chapter author, book editor, chapter title and chapter page range:
Wicks, T. S. (2016). Ethical contexts. In J. Abrak & D. S. Jones (Eds.), Society, science and spirit (pp. 112-145). Dunder Mifflin.
Journal article references contain author(s), year of publication, volume, issue and page numbers as well as an article title, journal title and DOI or URL:
Bahr, S. J., Siclovan, D. M., Opper, K., Beiler, J., Bobay, K. L., & Weiss, M. E. (2017). Interprofessional health team communication about hospital discharge. An implementation science evaluation study. Journal of Nursing Care Quality, 32, 285-292. https://doi:10.1097/NCQ.0000000000000238
Readings that are not linked in your reading list can be found using Library search.
Search for the title and use the filters on the left to narrow your results. Check the author, year or edition matches your citation.
