Library users are expected to conduct themselves in ways that do not interfere with the comfort or convenience of other individuals within the Library and protect Library facilities.
The Director of Libraries may in appropriate circumstances initiate disciplinary action in accordance with the university’s Student Conduct Policy and procedures or the Code of Conduct for Staff.
Library users with borrowing privileges must comply with the terms of borrowing Library material as outlined at loans information.
The Director of Libraries will determine the term of loans and the number of items that may be borrowed as specified at loans information.
The Director of Libraries may impose penalties for overdue, damaged or lost Library material. Details can be found at loans information.
Library users must comply with copyright legislative requirements and must not copy, print, scan, download or record Library material in any manner that infringes the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) (for further information see copyright information).
Library users with access to licensed resources must comply with licence requirements governing the use of electronic information resources, using these resources only for personal, educational or research purposes, and must not use them for commercial purposes. Licence restrictions are displayed for each resource. When you find an item in the library catalogue, you can see the conditions by clicking on ‘Show license’.
Library services means any activity associated with Library’s provision of information resources, Library facilities, assets, staff or resources including in person, online, via telephone or correspondence.
Library facilities includes campus libraries, amenities or equipment and other physical structures from which library services are delivered.
Library user means any person who accesses the Library facilities or uses Library services.
