The Library provides required readings and textbooks in an accessible format for students with a verified print disability who are registered with Access and Disability Services.

Eligibility

  • ACU students who are registered with the Access and Disability Service (ADS).
  • Students with approved library-related reasonable adjustments as part of an Education Inclusion Plan (EIP).

To register, contact the Access and Disability Service and speak with an advisor about your needs.

What we provide

The service covers:

  • required readings listed in your Leganto reading list, where an accessible version is not already available
  • required textbooks, if not available in a suitable format in the library catalogue.

The service does not cover:

  • recommended or additional readings
  • ebooks and ejournals already available through the library catalogue
  • materials not listed in your Leganto reading list
  • materials in Canvas, such as lecture notes or slides.

Before submitting a conversion request, please check whether an accessible version of the material is already available on your Leganto reading list. Many readings are already provided in accessible PDF format.

How to request

Use the button below to submit your request by email to the Library Print Accessibility Service team.

In the body of the email, please tell us:

  • which reading(s) or textbook(s) you need converted, and
  • your preferred format if you have one (for example, accessible PDF or Word document).

You do not need to provide details about your disability or explain why you need the service. All requests are handled respectfully and confidentially.
