A series of lectures delivered yearly from 1944-1950, the first Aquinas Lecture was given in March 1944 by Mr John P. Kelly.
It took place in the rooms of the Aquinas Library with the Chief Justice of Queensland, Sir William Webb, as Chairman.
The lectures were re-established in 1979 by the Aquinas Library and later continued by the ACU Brisbane campus.
