  1. On the Westlaw AU platform locate the title, chapter or document you want to link to.
  2. Click on the 'Link Builder' icon.      
  3. A pop up box will appear listing the 'Deep Link URL', copy the URL.
  4. Paste this URL into your online unit.
  5. Add the following EZproxy prefix to the front of the copied URL: http://ezproxy.acu.edu.au/login?url=
  6. Your final URL should look something like this (note- the URL contains no breaks or spaces):

 Westlaw AU allows you to create a permanent link in any subscribed title to:

  • (product) title’ e.g. Australian Sentencing, Federal Administrative Law, Miller’s Australian Competition and Consumer Law Annotated, The Laws of Australia.  

The link will load the Advanced Search Form for that title.

  • chapters, parts, sections or topics within a title’ e.g. Title 33.1. Tort and Contract in The Laws of Australia.  

The link will load the browse view with all documents listed in the right hand pane. 

  • A reported case e.g. Mabo v Queensland [No 2]  (1992) 175 CLR 

The link will load the case.

  • A journal article e.g. Tanya Josev, ‘The late arrival of the "judicial activism" debate in Australian public discourse’ (2013) 24(1) Public Law Review 17. 

The link will load the journal article.
