Request items not held by ACU - interlibrary loan
ACU staff, higher degree, postgraduate and honours students can request items not held in our ACU libraries required for the purpose of research or study. We refer to these as "interlibrary loans".
Sign in to My Library to request an interlibrary loan.
Use the Request interlibrary loan link in the top menu.
View your current interlibrary loans and the status of your requests in My Library.
Use the request form to request interlibrary loans online. You must be signed in.
You can have up to 30 active interlibrary loan requests at any time.
You will receive an email when the item is available to collect from your local campus library. Chapters and articles will be sent to you as an email attachment.
Loan periods vary according to the lending institution, ranging from 2 weeks to 8 weeks.
Requested items may include journal articles, book chapters, conference papers, books, videos, DVDs and theses (conditions apply).
Titles held in ACU Library's collection will not be obtained on interlibrary loan. This includes eBooks.
Requested items will be loaned to you if you have no overdue items and your fines are under $10.
Copyright provisions apply. For books, one chapter or 10% whichever is greater and for journal articles, generally one article from each issue. You must not have previously been supplied with a copy of the same item or article. Check with your campus library if unsure.
You can cancel an interlibrary loan by signing in to My Library and going to Requests.
Fines apply to overdue interlibrary loans. See fines information.
